Hokkien Mee 🍤

📍 Clementi Mall Food Court @ 3155 Commonwealth Ave W, Singapore

Hokkien Mee or Hokkien Noodles or sometimes also known as Fried Prawn Noodles.
Though it looks like dry noodles, it’s slurpy enough to eat it like soup noodles. The chili is on the side for you to mix to taste. You can also opt out of having chili on the side as the person by the cash will ask you.

Hokkien Mee

Now, I’ve had hokkein mee before.
Hokkien mee is supposed to make my face red because of how much chili there is mixed it, and I can add more chili to my taste and burn my tongue because I loooooooove chili.

But honestly, the amount the guy gave didn’t give me any kick when I’ve mixed all of it. Alriiiiiiight, so I go back and grab 2 mini containers full of the chili and the guy looked at me weird. & That did not help turn up the notch at all. Their sambal chili is just… weird and not turning up the spicy level and I was just so unsatisfied with this dish.

Though I was looking forward to eating it and as beautiful as the photo may seem, this stall in the food court just doesn’t make good hokkien mee.

Till next time, ♥
